This album is seriously blowing my mind right now. Anyone who listens to folk music NEEDS to hear this album.

Cults - Oh My God
LIFEANTHEM
I’m stuck inside the same position
I’m so tired of sitting around here with my boring life
Wishing I could find another name to go by
Late at night I’m dreaming about a time where I could change my sidePlease don’t tell me you know the rules to go by
I can run away and leave you anytime
Please don’t tell me you know the plans for my life
I can run away and leave you here to stay inside dreamingI’m so tired of thinking about the things that I have been missing
I never wanted a single thing for my life
All I wanted to know was to know that I have never wasted my time
Probably the last remaining “Most Anticipated Album of 2k11” left for me!

I absolutely love this song. Looking forward to Terra so much now.
Julian Lynch - Back
Fantastic stuff - let it build, this one really gets going.
On Terra, out the 26th of this month, there are two songs named “Water Wheel” (Pts. 1 and 2), a has-to-be purposeful nod to the oud player Hamza El Din’s classic piece, “Escalay: Water Wheel.” While this may sound willfully obscure, El Din played later with the Grateful Dead and Sandy Bull, and his bridge between lovingly meandering folk and traditional melody is exactly representative of the pocket where Lynch’s music lives. “Back” is the last song on Terra and it hews closer to traditionally American with steeled vocals, hiking guitar and a moment of deep psychedelic organ. Overall, Terra is a measured, beautiful record, with bits of Eastern jazz, Western rock and the whole mellow mishmash between.

So true.
